Large bore coyote kills

Looks like it blew the hindquarters off. That Berger blasted a nice exit wound too. How far away was the shot?

nice job
The Edge was a broadside shot at about 100 yards. The 375 RUM was 253 yards quartering on. The picture was taken just as it was when we walked up on it. I was impressed with the Hammer bullet.

From those pics I'm impressed with the hammer bullet too

Need to dig some pics up, one memorable coyote and a 375 ultra at about 200 yards and a 270 grain Speer...taken a few jackel with a 375 HH..I hunted a year with a 9.3x62--some good hog kills with a fox that got spit in half.i had a spectacular miss with a 416 Rigby and a coyote--must have given him a hair cut...really close over the back. Shot a fish crane with a 450/400 Jeffery (only gun I had with me) looked like you ripped a down pillow.

I'm feeling poorly now after seeing all these fine photos and posts. I spent too many years working and now I'm retired I better get out there while I can to prepare for fall.
Bear is tasty, I've been served dog in a few countries, not knowing before I ate it, dog is tasty, a bit sweet. Has anyone eaten yotes?

That is some excellent coyote carnage. Where did you hit the disembowelled coyote at? And what is a 225 NAB and a 175 Matrix VLD? Never heard of those.

Nice work

NAB = Nosler Accubond the Matrix is a Canadian company that makes bullet similar to Berger's VLD. Their website used to be https://matrixballistics.com/ but I am getting an error. Due changes of custom, they can longer ship to the US.

The 2nd coyote picture was shot at the chest area, he was sitting down staring at me.

Here's another pix from a different angle.

I have shot them with 500gr 45-70, 20ga slugs, and one with a 50cal round ball. Much prefer to shoot them with something smaller but those were what I had in my hand at the time.

Have any pics of the 50 BMG ball round kill?
