That right there is why we are in this problem, people think that is natural, there are two prey species on your little picture and five predator, that is a nightmare of a circle that is leading us to the current state of affairs.

Right ? Where is the mule deer, the whitetail , the pronghorn, the elk ? What happened the Mtn. Lion and coyote ? Ungulates still out numbered ...
Walt Disney brain washed kids. Remember Bambi ? Who killed it's mom , or was it daddy buck ? I Don't remember. It was the evil Hunter ! The Apex predetor.

RUMMY has a very valid point especially when we are talking about wildlife and any consumptive pursuit. Humans perform as an apex predator and should not be excluded from the circle. One of the biggest faults of the environmentalists is thinking in terms of eliminating the presence or even the existence of human influence in ecosystems. Mankind has his fingerprint on everything for better or worse.

They existed along with all other animals and we still basically do, but now we have the power to try to help them when needed and we sure have the power to hurt their population with misguided people that know nothing about science.
We the hunters give millions a year towards wildlife and management . The Pittman Robertson Act comes to mind.Hunters and fisherman have brought back wildlife populations from possible extinction . The whitetail . The turkey . Eagles. Our money has restored elk and other animals back to their historical locations. I don't know of any anti hunter organizations that contribute to wildlife ? They all sure like to enjoy it on our dime though.
People think that donating money to the Sierra Club, National Humane Society (they kill dogs and cats) , PETA or whoever, are helping. They are nothing but a big business making themselves a paycheck. Extornshonists.

If nature had intended for us to eat veggies like some people contend that we should, we would have eyes on each side of our head so we could watch out for wolves while we grazed in the field with bambi. Hey, if the Darwinites are right (i dont believe that) maybe a couple thousand years from now all the veggie heads will have eyes on each side so the wolves they are reintroducing will know which humans are on the menu and naturally eliminate the crazies !

I buy a lot of guns and ammo and pay all this conservation tax so the granola munchers can have parks. I have never hunted public land in my entire life and have been to a gov park maybe 5 times in my life. Yet I contribute more than 99% of hunters or anyone else to those funds. It's bs.

The American Indians were known for their ability to manage wildlife with the presence of predator's and they passed that on to the early American Settlers.

Somewhere along the way those skills have gone astray.

"When you disturb the balance of nature you create an imbalance that is hard to reverse."

It doesn't mean that introducing Predator's into a Wildlife Area works, anymore than Hunting them to point of instinction would work.

"A strong Herd will keep any Predator at bay when protecting their young."
