Earlier in the thread someone mentioned that there seemed to be complaints about the 7 RUM having too much recoil and the 300 RUM users didn't say much about it in other threads.
Did some recoil comparisons. Used Nosler's load data, chose fastest load for each bullet weight. The 7 RUM recoil in FT/LBs and Velocity is less than the 300 RUM across the bullet weight spectrum. Here are a few examples with a 10 lb rifle.

I have owned three 7 RUMs, two 300 RUMs and one 338 RUM. Shot those 7s and 300s without a brake in rifles weighing 9-10 lbs. Recently built a 10 lb 338 RUM and shot it without the brake. Finally found my recoil intolerance. I put a brake on that 338 RUM!
