UPS has closed all there walk up counters at their hubs in my area . So how or where are you shipping ammo you have sold to individuals if you are just a person like i.e. not a retailer ? I sent out a pkg. last week from a store , the guy said he would take it , and it showed up at my door today .
Any suggestions would be appreciated .
Thanks Glenn

If you send any type of ammunition that has not been documented as such through USPS or UPS and a round detonates, you're in for some serious issues.

I use to send out ammunition to a friend years ago and the UPS office put a hazmat sticker on the box and wrote a code number next to the sticker. I'm sure this process has changed since I was sending out ammo, but you can still send ammunition through UPS following their guidelines.

I think if someone has ammo that spontaneously detonates while with UPS or anywhere, they have serious issues regardless of UPS shipping guidelines.

We shipped through UPS a lot of years ago and then the UPS privately owned stores started getting really Liberal/Woke and could not ship Ammo/Firearms/or anything related to Firearms.
You need to ship through a UPS Store.
We have three UPS accounts.
Personal
Business Firearms
Business Firearms Parts

Now USPS
Small arms ammunition is categorized as explosive materials by the U.S. Department of Transportation. Ammunition that is designed to be fired from a pistol, revolver, rifle, or shotgun, as well as associated primers and blank cartridges (including those designed for tools) and propellant powder for use in any firearm, is prohibited from mailing.
Under federal law, it is illegal to send these types of ammunition, domestically or internationally, via the U.S. Mail.

Now if you want to take the chance and face Federal Charges ship USPS. We have had Ammo/Primers/Powder shipped to us through USPS from LRH Members and could not believe it when we received the packages from our Post Delivery Person USPS.

ups stopped allowing guns being dropped off at privately owned and operated ups hubs because they couldn't allow people who cannot legally own firearms (felons and such) to be employed there if they continued to take in firearms to ship and they couldn't/wouldn't force the privately owned businesses into that condition either.
that's what we got from them when we started to harass them about it, they even made ffl's change their business account types when all that happened. we were really confused about it because we suddenly had two seperate ups accounts when they started that policy

I hope there is a basic understanding that even if you personally get "certified" to ship, you personally are in the hook for any damages in shipment including associated environmental. If you incorrectly ship via Air and oh crap, its criminal plus all the trappings that goes with it. FBI still looking for people from Jet Blue Florida crash from shipping O2 canisters still with product. A shipper is responsible for their shipment "cradle to grave". This is why even LGS will not ship. The risk outweighs the benefits.

And for what?
