I'll check it out. I do have some receivers (poly) from them, but no cf.Tennessee Arms Co just put their Carbon Fiber lowers on sale. I picked one up for an AR10 build and the weight savings is substantial!!!
It appears to be poly w/ cf reinforcement. 6.2oz lower is fairly light and @ good price!Tennessee Arms Co just put their Carbon Fiber lowers on sale. I picked one up for an AR10 build and the weight savings is substantial!!!
Are they hard to put back in ?I just got back from the range. 100 degrees. Eh... No wind... it's alright. Having to pull the trigger on a 7mm Rem mag 50 times... I swear my eyeballs come out of my head 3 inches every time I shoot...
But I would like to have a 7mm PRCW
Yes, you cant beat 48.99 for an AR10 lower. I have used them for 3 builds and all rifles shoot very well.It appears to be poly w/ cf reinforcement. 6.2oz lower is fairly light and @ good price!
Read that before I send it. What do you weigh about one hungry? The seven a m redmag does not kick that hardIf the 7 MM rem mag kick the crap out of you. What do you weigh about one rifles? Don't kick that much.
It is basically a 6.5PRC necked up to a 7mm. 7PRC is NOT the same. It's a 7mm PRC that John Whidden changed the shoulder angle (I think that's what he did) and gave it a new name. He owns Whidden Gunworks. He makes good tools and, I hear, good rifles.
The 1000 yd target guys are pretty much shooting 7's. The Berger 180. To get a comparable bc in 30 cal you have to shoot a 215 gr bullet.Ultimate Reloader has a video on youtube comparing the 6.5, 7, and 300 PRC. The 7 PRC has about 40" less drop at 1000yds than the 6.5 or 300. This is why I would like to try one out.
Why does it matter how much drop something has at 1000? You're dialing anyways.Ultimate Reloader has a video on youtube comparing the 6.5, 7, and 300 PRC. The 7 PRC has about 40" less drop at 1000yds than the 6.5 or 300. This is why I would like to try one out.
In case you don't have time to dial and just have to Kentucky elevation it.Why does it matter how much drop something has at 1000? You're dialing anyways.
It's not so much drop but drift. Wind is the killer. Target or hunting. Higher bc's give more room for error in wind call or an errant breeze. Why does it matter how much drop something has at 1000? You're dialing anyways.
Kentucky elevation at 1000y. Ya. That's how we do it.In case you don't have time to dial and just have to Kentucky elevation it.
Correct. But drop is almost irrelevant in the age of rangefinders. The wind drift between the two at 1000y is only about 5" in favor of the 7 in a 10mph crosswind. At normal hunting ranges, with a somewhat missed wind call, I don't think it's going to matter more than and inch or two. It's not so much drop but drift. Wind is the killer. Target or hunting.
