I really want another revolver

You'll never regret buying a Dan Wesson if you can find one.

I have greatly enjoyed the discussion about revolvers. I too am a big fan of the wheel guns and I own more that a dozen. I like shooting them all from the Ruger Single Six to my Ruger Redhawk in 454 Casull . I better take that back the 454 is not all that fun to shoot. My latest is a very interesting gun. Many of you expressed a like for Dan Wesson revolvers. Well I was offered a great deal on a Dan Wesson 375 Super Mag with an 8 inch barrel. My friend was selling guns from an estate and no one wanted to buy the 375 Super Mag since you could not buy ammo for it. So i bought it and was able to find dies and 375 Winchester rifle brass that I cut down and loaded with 200 grain bullets and H100 powder. This gun looked as if it had never had been fired.l I have only shot it 10-20 times. It is fun to shoot because it is very heavy and the load is not that heavy.

Dan Wesson for sure! They're around, and you can have a nice set up for what you'll pay for a single Python.

Back when I was making $12 an hour, I ran across a Dan Wesson.
Lightest, smoothest double action trigger I ever felt!! But at $550 I didn't have the disposable income I do now.
Still wish I could have afforded that gun!!

Picked up 2 revolvers recently.
Ruger Security Six in 357 Mag with adjustable rear sight.$425

And Friday I picked up a Taurus Judge. Yup!! 45 Colt & 410 shotgun. I think it's a 6.5" barrel. Haven't measured it yet.
$395

I would love to get a DW someday. I have a pair of 1911 specialists with thousands of rounds through them and they are awesome guns.

I have a new Python and I absolutely love it. Teh sight needed to be upgraded though.

I have owned several S&W, Taurus and Ruger revolvers. I own one Ruger and one S&W currently. I bought the Ruger for my mom, it's a light carry with concealed hammer, but I told her she had to come out and practice and learn how to operate it safely before I would let her take it home, so far, she hasn't come out. Anyway, I absolutely love my S&W's, even the ones I traded for other guns. I currently own a like new, maybe was, old stock model 19 in 357 with the six-inch barrel. Incredibly accurate, and powerful enough to hunt deer for sure. I had two, but I gave the other one to a friend that drove from Tulsa to Dodge City, Kansas with a trailer to pick me and my truck up when my tranny went out on a hunting trip. I figured anyone willing to do that deserved a decent gesture. I offered him money, but he wouldn't take it, didn't want to take the pistol, but I insisted. I would have dug something else out if I didn't have two in the safe lol.

In my experience the Colt if you plan to do a lot of double action shooting.

Dan Wesson will be most accurate. They don't do as well with cast bullets, but with jacketed bullets they will hold a 3" group @ 200 meters. Only revolver that will shoot better is Freedom Arma ant they are above your price range.

Smith 686 is a great revolver. If you get someone that knows revolvers to slick it up a little the double action will rival the Python and single action will be as good as any long gun in your stable. They do very well with cast bullets and mine will outshoot jacketed.

Just my $.02
