I’m Convinced. No Lead Bullets for Game

My application & yours may differ. My implementation & yours may differ. My Experiences with 6mm ARC has offered extremely good results going on 4 years now. Seems our experiences differ.

FWIW 87 gr Absolute Hammer & Hornady 90 gr CX have been the Monolithic projectiles, I have used in the 6mm ARC to good effect thus far. Suppose no reason to change.

Seems I may not be allowed in the anti 6 camp:)
Don't take it personal. You said it yourself "may differ than yours"
The problem on topics like this is that most who are in support of one side or the other cannot just accept that there are people who do not agree with you because their experience is opposite. There are no right or wrongs, there are just your experience.
You couldn't pay me to use copper because I have and they fail. You like them because they check your boxes! 👌

I use Berger's and some monos. Like to try new stuff all the time. 🤠 So far, seems the Apex, McGuire, & Hammers have terminated critters just as well as the Bergers. There are variables either way depending on shot placement, etc. Friend used the little 223 w/ 52 gr Hammers doing like 3400+ and does crazy damage on whitetail. Impressive for sure. I could care less other than when I need monos for hyper velocity. Some of these new ones are pretty sleek and consistent.

I use soft cast, hard cast, coated cast, slugs, cup and core and monos in various guns. They all kill just fine. I cannot remember over the last 20 years, the last time I shot anything twice, and my memory isn't good enough to remember all the kills from the 30 years before that but firing two shots would have been rare then too.

I know I have only ever lost one animal, and that was the first generation Berger hunting bullet out of a 7 Rem mag that I saw splash on the hide of a moose at 80 yards in about 1986. It made a bald patch a foot in diameter, a ton of hair on the snow where he was standing and never left a drop of blood over three miles of tracking him in the deep snow. No evidence of anything the least bit wrong with the way the moose was moving or travelling. Outside of that it hasn't mattered one lick what kind of bullet I used, they all died very close to where they were shot.

Eat a little lead, poop it out. Not in there long enough to oxidize and get into the blood stream. Lots of stuff I eat is WAY worse for me than a little lead. Still kind of a neat video, I thought it was actually pretty well done.

There are no right or wrongs
So 1x1=2?

We gonna start normalizing Terrance Howard math now?

There's most definitely right, wrongs, lies, and over simplifications. As is life.

Along those lines, some of the biggest Dunning-Krueger offenders come from the online hunting community…dare I say gun community, it would seem.

Car forums arguing about what the best oil is would be a distant second probably.

I like monos for their performance on game! memtb
As do I. Limited though my experience be.

I know too much about what the lead in unrecovered game does to beneficial animals. I do not force use of anything on anyone. I make MY choices. While I lived in California, state law was not an issue as I used no-lead while hunting by my choice before the law was made.

For target/precision lead, lead core every time.
