Yes you can. Just buy the receiver then move on to the other necessary parts. For around a grand you can buy good receivers. It will just take a little longer to get everything you need.Problem with me is I can't afford a good custom receiver. Best I have been able to afford is a Rem 700 receiver
Let me correct myself by saying building my first bolt gun. I have literally built 100's of ar-15's and ar-10's . And by built, I mean actually built every part, not just buying an upper and slapping it on lol.I am loving this thread, simply because the next step in my hobby is building my own rifle. The prefit remmage barrel system might have to be my first build. My only problem... deciding which caliber LOL
Hey nothing wrong with a rem 700 !!Problem with me is I can't afford a good custom receiver. Best I have been able to afford is a Rem 700 receiver
Defiance Classics were under 800$ at one time.Problem with me is I can't afford a good custom receiver. Best I have been able to afford is a Rem 700 receiver
I'm kinda the same way, messed with tons of AR's and AK's from the ground up.Let me correct myself by saying building my first bolt gun. I have literally built 100's of ar-15's and ar-10's . And by built, I mean actually built every part, not just buying an upper and slapping it on lol.
I have the barrel vise and the inner and outer action wrench that will work for Remington 700's. Also different torque wrenches for inch pounds and foot pounds.....nothing to it, pick up the tools and have at it...
