I remember hearing of these pistols doing as you say.Don't get me wrong, amazing customer service. If I remember correctly there was some issue around that time, which was about 20 years ago.

It would be hard to beat a 5" m&p 2.0.RIA for a 1911 lover or a s&w (5.6"pc or 4.5"). I'd choose the s&w over g20/40 (I have both) or the xdm.
If I were a 1911 fan I'd get the RIA ultra hs hc for sure. I really like my pc w/Timney. Very nice trigger! It would be hard to beat a 5" m&p 2.0.
For 1911, I would step up my game from RÍA to Dan Wesson or such.
If you get a 1911, I would get a 6". More velocity, sight radius, and just run better with the lower slide velocity. I still would shoot a .41 or .44 mag revolver if hunting deer as a primary weapon and not a backup. If I were a 1911 fan I'd get the RIA ultra hs hc for sure. I really like my pc w/Timney. I have the one you need, and I am just up the street, S&W 629-1, 8 3/8" barrel, .ff Mag. DA/SA! Enouhg said It is a revolver though...I'd like to say I'm still in control and not getting addicted to pistol hunting…….
With that being said, help me pick a 10mm pistol with the intention of deer hunting 50-60 yards max. Will be using one of the micro reflex sights
Thanks
Mike
Might not get squirrely crazy on you until you're in possession though.Finding the right pistol is like looking for a good woman.looks don't mean everything.
Take one out for a date or two, you'll find the right one for you.
