Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

Another set of quick testing:

300 SAUM Tikka T3x
24" Preffered 1-9" twist
1x Fired RP, Trimmed & necked turned
CCI 200
166 Hammer Hunter
2.935 COAL
1/8 turn crimp with Lee FCD
23 F (Ammo kept @ ~50 F)

Staball 6.5
65.0 3105 Bolt lift (extractor imprint, no ejector mark)
66.0 3135
67.0 3212?? (Staball 6.5 getting squirrely again!)
67.5 3256 Bolt Lift + Ejector swipe.

Tested 64.0 gr of H4350 and 2 of the first 3 cases had stiff bolt + ejector swipes so I stopped and I'll need to back that down another grain or so.

Ok, finally got around to 166HH in 300WM.
Sendero 26" 1:10tw
COAL 3.64
CBTO 2.96
Set back 0.020
R-P 5x firing
FM215
Crimped - yes 1/8
Ramshot Hunter
76.0=3256
77.0=3252? No clue
78.0=3333
78.5=3341 velocity flattening
79.0=3375 slight ejector stopped

Getting better at not wasting bullets!

Working up Hodgdon H100V ladder with 166HH. Also looking at Alliant Power Pro 4000 R as well. Will advise.

This load was deemed safe in my rifle. Work up any load using safe standard reloading practices.

I skipped over several levels of load based upon observation and experience with Hammers. I loaded on 1/2 gr due to zero experience with TS 15.5.

Interesting R-P has more case capacity than Lapua which I might try with the 70HH to see if one more grain pops close to 4K.

Probably should have noted. That ladder was shot at 25°F ambient so while the velocities are pertinent, you'd probably expect to reach them about 0.6 grains lower if you were shooting at 75°F

74.0-3693 no pressure at all, primer nice and round edge. Stopping here since~3700fps is plenty for this bullet. Case is also pretty full almost into neck. I am loving the ADG brass in this rifle. Gave me fits with Hornady and Winchester with clickers.

No on to down range work. Will follow up.
