Hammer Hunter Load Data, (See page 1, Post 8)

Searching for a load for a 28 Nosler and 169 HH.
ADG and Nosler brass
CCI 250 and Rem #9 1/2 M primers
Powders available:
H 1000, N 570, N 565, N 560, Ramshot Magnum, 7826 SSC, IMR 4831

Lots of info on this thread and spreadsheet, but only one (that I could find) load for any of these powders and this bullet. It seemed to be a very hot load and I am more interested in accuracy and ease of use on components than speed, just for speeds sake.

Your input on load data for the 28 Nosler and 169 HH is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
My 28 is 8 twist and long throated.
Adg brass, CCI 250, 83.5 grains N570 .281 mandrel .003 tension, no crinp
I seat the mouth of the case on the rib of the bullet

Ya i didnt want to try the high node either

Thanks for the information. Greatly appreciated. What is the resulting jump for your load?
The twist rate on this rifle is 8.4 and throated for the 195 EOL Elite Hunter Bergers

I cant remember off the top of my head

I can look tonight when I get home, but its been my experience that the Hammer Hunters can be seated well off the lands and shoot exceptionally well.

338 RPM …some self-extrapolated data I got to test

six lug Accumark 24" barrel

175 Hammer hunters so far so good.

69gr RL16 3050 fps (same velocity as factory in my accumark six lug, but they used 185 TTSX)

70gr RL16 3065 same hole as above

71gr RL16 3105 1/2" apart from above group

64 gr H4895 3220 fps safe max in my mind. just slight cratering.......

70 gr CFE223 3100 fps

Modified Ladder test so I know where I am at with pressures. I had nothing to go one so I did not want to waste a whole day pulling ammo.

Thinking 69-70 RL16 should be very accurate and is not close to max load.

Looks like H4350 is the best so far. Will also test Staball 6.5 (since its widely available) to see how it stacks up.
