Here is a bit of a different question out of curiosity.

What are y'all's experience with the Hammer Hunters say past 5 or 6 hundred yards with respect to accuracy.….So, do they begin to fall off rapidly?

Pushing the velocity with precision, Vargay will pressure out before N540.

Never found pressure but was compressed at 59grains, was tapping and shaking at 61 grs. before seating the bullet. Last December I hunted Oklahoma and then down to lower Texas with the 124 HH and not only me but my guide was impressed as it sucked heart and lungs out the exit holes. Have a load worked up for the 151 HH in the 06 , 3260FPS , 63 grs. N550 . I was praying for 3300 but my short barrel refused it, ES is 2 . Do you notice a distinct deference in recoil with the V V powders?

Nice! I bet 49.5 grains is a sweet "node". Just a hunch looking at the numbers.

Recoil with VV? Could not tell the difference, maybe because I am running a 5 port SRS Ti Pro in the 06. Only ran 4 powders through the 06, N540 for the 124HH, H4350 for the 166HH at mid 3000, and N560 and RL17 for the 215 Berger Hybrids both at 2830.

Aren't you a little late to the party saying "Nice new fad."? Copper bullets have been out for decades now.

We just loaded some for a pronghorn hunt happening in 2 weeks, shooting out of a 25-06 @3100. I'll let you know how it goes, but very few big game animals are nimbler than a pronghorn

You'll be pleased with the performance. I load Hammers in 7 different cartridges. Every pronghorn I've shot with them has dropped in their tracks. 475 yards with the 120 HH in my 280AI last year. Previous year was with the 109 AH in my 6.5-284 Norma. Will be running the 124 HH this year in the 6.5-284 with a new barrel.
Dropped every south Texas whitetail with the 124 HH in my Creed. Actually put that same bullet through 3 javalina last season that lined up real nice for me.
