Hammer bullets

Depends on temps you plan to hunt in. I have personally witnessed RL26 spike in temps over 85°F. Like 75+fps. Other than that, anything under that threshold was awesome.

Might want to try RL23 too. Or H1000 for ultimate stability.

Would you guys recommend RL26 or retumbo for top velcoity with the145 sledge hammers in 26" 270 wsm 1-9twist?

I'm thinking they might be too slow. Rl23 could be good.

I've just changed over to RL17 in my 270WSM. Take a look at the specs I'm certain you'll see an increase in FPS of at least 100.

The bullets just arrived, thank you sir. I'll be in the reloading room tomorrow morning. I still have to get my order in for the .277, 145grain bullets.

I tried re23 in my 7wsm with the 143's-- I haven't finished my load work up yet but it produced some pretty impressive speeds in my eyes and rifle

67.5 RE23 will run the 143 Hunters @ 3,200 ft/sec in my 25" Bartlein bbl. (7WSM)
