Thank you otisdog. Another Grandson who was supposed to start hunting white tails this fall developed a flinch shooting his Single Shot HenryH105 in 308 win. I had loaded 130gr Barnes running at 3075fps. The rifle was a bit snapping and he got scared. refused to shoot. So I started again with 22 Rimfire then 22 Magnum then 22 Hornet. Then I jumped to a gun I've used for starter hunters several times. A Model 70 Featherweight in 257 Roberts with 87gr pills. Success. He is back shooting and more confident. Will leave the Henry until next year. 257 a little less snappy. Thanks.

I remember when my grandfather took me shooting. He will always remember this. I know I enjoy shooting with my kids, probably more than they do with their old man.
