Perhaps all you really need is a wooden club. Here's a picture reportedly taken with google street view of a Russian guy chasing a grizzly with nothing but a wooden club.

Speaking of 10mm and penetration, I think many have seen this, but... perhaps a few haven't, it's interesting and adds a little something to the conversation, it's the round that I carry most of the time in my G20SF gen3
Cheers
No, I use the factory length from KKM... a supported barrel which gives me very good accuracy in my G20SF with eveything I shoot throught it. CheersAre you guys using aftermarket 6" barrels in your G20's for these bear loads?

If those are HSM I've never seen them in 230 gr. only 200 gr. . Do me a favor, cut the tag of that towel. It's bugging me.Has anyone tried these. I picked them up years ago but never shot them.
He is loading the same bullets as me in my G20 10mm
Whiskey works for meOveruse of vodka can give amazing abilities! memtb
For prolonged shooting of lead I use my 6" aftermarket barrel. I also test my stock barrel to see if they are not over pressure. Lead can be shot out of the factory barrel but you need to clean more frequently as it leads up way quicker and can cause pressure spikes. Are you guys using aftermarket 6" barrels in your G20's for these bear loads?
This is one of their ads, but... test are test, and something is always taken away, you be the judge. CheersI believe that they certainly can penetrate…..but, do the give a decent "permanent" wound channel? Penetration is great, but the larger the "permanent wound channel" the better! IMO. memtb
