Analog S&G for me!!!
If we get emp'd I'd don't think I'm gunna be thinking about that at that point haha. I do have a SG lock so hopefully I don't have to worry about it
I tend to see the older safes with mechanical locks at estate sales & auctions.Mechanical lock safes are difficult to find these days. Sure you can special order a safe with one, but finding one locally is tough. I have been struggling with space recently in my old safe.
No apology needed memtb!!I misread your post…..I apologize! I missed the EMP" part of your post. One word or in this case acronym can certainly change the context of a sentence! memtb
Look at Liberty, they have S&G dial locks on just about all of their models. I have a Lincoln and couldn't be happier, cept shoulda bought one two sizes larger!! SSC is a REAL problem!!!! LOLI tend to see the older safes with mechanical locks at estate sales & auctions.
Oh lordy..... just take out your little keys and unlock the safes that have electronic locks. Cash?.......with your concerns I would hope you will not rely on cash to purchase things when we/they are using EMP or similar attacks. If you're like many people, you have chosen to purchase a gun safe to keep your guns and valuables secure in your home. But in the event of a national emergency, like an EMP attack, if you have an electronic lock on your safe, you might not be able to open it. This would definitely be a time where you might need to access cash that you have stashed away for an emergency because ATMs are likely to be rendered useless. Plus, you'll want to be able to access your guns to protect your family and home if needed. So, what can you do?
Should there be an EMP attack, all your worries will be over quite subsequently.
Do you think that may be true of all brands~?All three of the electronic lock gun safes that my wife and I own have key over rides. The electronic keypad slides up and underneath is the keyhole. This includes our US made Sentry safe.
So you can incinerate with your gun in hand?I was concerned about the EMP "lockout", so I had mine changed to a rotary dial. Luckily, in Boise, we have a master safe technician named Lance Mayhew. He maintains many of the safes for big financial and precious metal businesses. I highly recommend him, and if anyone needs it I have his contact information.
I'd say the degrees of the Sun…That depends solely upon…..your location and degree of preparation! memtb
