Bullets Getting Stuck In Barrel

It seems to me the first thing to do is to check bullet ogive distance from the lands. If it is jammed, buy a seating die and seat the bullet deeper until it is not touching. Measure and write down the distance from the ogive to the lands. A Sinclair comparator is a good tool to quickly check this measurement.

Need to back way off and work up again to shoot with the bullet touching the lands. Not really worth doing for hunting. For one rifle I do both with I use a Wilson inline bullet seater with or without a washer. That rifle needs to go to a gunsmith if it was headspaced with a go and no go gauge.
not being nasty here, but this man has said at least 3 times that he has only fired factory ammo, no reloads. he needs to have chambering checked by good gunsmith.

So awhile back I bought a used pre-fit barrel off here for my Bighorn Origin. I was told its a Krieger 1:7.5 twist 6mm Creedmoor. I torqued it on my action, checked headspace and zeroed it and everything shot fine. Using all factory ammo Hornady Black 105, Hornady Match 108 ELD-M, VMax 87, and even ELD-X 103 I have had 5 different issues with the bullets getting lodged in the chamber before firing. The bolt will close most of the time but then pulls out the brass and leaves the bullet whenever if try to open it back up. The ELD-x i never could even get the bolt to close at all.

Is this a Hornady issue or is this barrel jacked up?
Check the chambers neck area for carbon build up as well.

What does the barrel stamping say about twist rate, caliber, manufacturer? Is it stamped with Krieger, 1:7.5 etc? Did Krieger prefit it?

Check your seating depth of the bullet, sounds like you are jamming them into the lands, if fired this way you usually have higher pressure then normal, BE CAREFUL WHEN RELOADING AMMO!!!! If this is factory ammo that gives you the problem GO SEE A GUNSMITH!!!!
This is the correct suggestion. Please listen to this advice for safety reasons.

in all reality, the rifle should've been checked before being shot. Not knowing its history, its always a good idea to have a smifh give it a once over before firing at the very least

This is my take on the situation.
The barrel needs to be borescoped.
It is quite possible that there is a burr at the end of the chamber that sometimes catches a bullet and other times it does not.
If it is not that then the throat is short or eccentric, this too can catch a bullet and then not.
If it were me, it would have been to a smith already to be checked and measured.

Cheers.

I think you have the wrong headspace distance from the lands to the ojive of the bullet, you sticking the bullet into the lands, double check your settings, sure sounds like that's what's going on to me

Think you have the bullet set into the lands, check your measurements again. The OJIVE should be set back from the lands, go watch Eric Cortina's video on the tube, about bullet seating.
