3 1/2 would be pushing it. You do have some good future prospects. I look at the nose first. No hump in the bridge. Long, lean legs. No sag in back or belly. Base of neck should drop in to bottom of body/chest. Buy that aging poster. It definitely helps seeing the aged profiles.

May have been born early in the season , that could put him at 3 . Also if he has been on a feeding program ( a good one ) he might not show his age as well.
