I have multiple pictures of both bucks at different angles. Just based on body characteristics , the buck in the pic above was probably an older deer at 6.5 yrs old . I think the deer that started this thread was in the 4.5 yr old range .
I've heard of radio collared bucks in Texas rotating home ranges , as far as the rut time of years goes, in a 3 yr cycle. Since I began keeping up with pics on trail cam , they do seem to rotate in and out of my area . Maybe the buck in the first post will pop back in this season as a mature 6.5 and I won't be at a hs football game when he trips up , lol. Motivation, right ?
