7 PRC SAAMI approved

nope. its all rumor.
I'm starting to think that may be the case with the rumors all staring with one source which for all we know could be someone just jerking our chains.

Hornady's development guys have proven to be incredibly sharp the last decade or so, so maybe indeed this is the "next big thing" on the horizon.

I have several hundred rounds of .375 Ruger brass just sitting around waiting on me to give it a job so I'm hoping! :D

why wait on Hornady ? just do one anyway and use Lapua 300 PRC brass, necking down from 30 cal is a breeze with a 300 WSM or SAUM bushing die with 308, 284, 270 & 264 bushings, that's how I did it and it was simple

now you have the option of a 300 PRC bushing die which will really simplify the necking down steps

A factory 7mm cartridge with 180gr factory ammo & loaded to around 3050 fps in a 26" bbl would be a nice addition.

there is likely some truth to it. but any factual, solid source has yet to be identified and verified.
a couple guys heard aaron davidson make a comment on his podcast #100 about it, but they since edited that out of the audio…
i dont doubt it is in the works, but ive also been expecting all sorts of things to be officially announced the past few years and so far im still just waiting for them.
i know the good Lord wants me to work on my patience, but i wish He'd hurry up with helping me get there.😊

plenty of bullets and rifles and cartridges id like to see out there, but i dont have the knowledge, skills or funds to make them myself. so i wait and hope someone else does it.

i will say its been cool to see posts on many different forums and FB over the years (although i quit FB in 2020) with @Swamplord showing awesome photography of cartridges he had designed and put together. guess thats why it was no surprise to me that he had a 7mm LRH even though i didnt know he had it. props to you for using your skills and resources to help further cartridge development.

Just to keep the rumor mill circling ....data I saw 175 gr@ just shy of 3000... so outperform 284 Win but not a 300 PRC necked down for sure. What my first thought was 7x61 Sharpe &Hart but no belt and straight walls.😶‍🌫️

Any plans on a 7mm razor in the future??
yes
reamer specs were drawn up at the same time as those shown in pics & at this time you can use 300 Razor brass necked down with one bushing and ready to load n shoot and you can also use the 338 Razor necked down with a .308" bushing then the .284" and good to go, case dims were carefully crafted in order to utilize one set of Razor bushing dies to load all the Razor cartridges

and yes .... there are plans to have headstamped 7mm Razor brass made

It is faster than factory loaded 7mm rm ammo. I still wish it would hit somewhere in the vicinity of 3050 fps with a 180 in factory ammo. I'm sure it could easily be hand loaded to do that.

If it's just a necked down 300PRC it should exceed STW velocities pretty easily so at least 250fps over the 7RM.

We'll just have to see if/when they release it what case we're actually looking at and the dimensions/capacity.

The 7LRM is a slight improvement over the 7RM so if they do this one right adding 5grs capacity or so over the LRM it should end up being about midway between STW and RUM performance.

Should be another great performer and where do you think it will fall within the rest of the 7mm out there? And case capacity?

What is the 7mm Razor?

I doubt if one person in a hundred has ever heard of it so I seriously doubt anyone is planning to standardize it and produce factory ammo and rifles for it.
