I would guess that is a pretty stiff load with that powder, but I have run mine near 3100 with a 26" barrel with RL26. It is difficult to figure out individual rifles, but the norm with most 7ss rifles is 3000+ with 180's , albeit most are longer barrels. It is a very efficient cartridge though, so you don't see the kind of losses in a couple inches of barrel that you would with larger capacity magnums.

The original builder/owner of that rifle DID crank out some VERY high velocities, as I recall, but I know he ran high pressure.

There is a slight ejector mark on the case but bolt lift is butter smooth and primer pockets are still tight after the 3rd firing.

I have a 7saum which I love but once the barrels smoked the SS might be the replacement.

Probably, but you would have to get someone with the prroper FFL and licensing for overseas shipments

Anyone put a 177Gr Hammer in a 7SS yet? Seems like it should fit fine being only .004 longer than the 195. Still trying to figure out which bullet to set up for but i'm running out of time.
