Me too
That's all my 6.5 SS shoots now

Here is an update on the little cartridge that CAN! I shot some 195 eol's, and continue to be amazed. I told people early on that this case was not really meant for bullets that heavy. Guess what? I shot some with good accuracy at 2955' out of my 26" barrel with a coal of 2.930". It is capable of cracking 3000', but would be hard on brass at that speed......Rich
**** impressive numbers Rich. Wish I could find a cheap 700 SAUM action...
Keep Lookin'! A model 7 would work nicely......Rich
Right now I can't afford one even if I found one... Still looking for employment... Getting canned at the worst possible time really sucked. It threw a wrench in everything I was working on (land, house, money, etc...).
You don't need any work done that could be done remotely, do you? Forming brass? Anything at this point.
I don't, but I hope you find something soon! It stinks not having a job.
Life's too short to despise walking into work everyday.
I have heard that people are getting good velocity with the 175 ELDX so I tried some today. It was 100 degrees in the desert so I didn't stick around long to shoot groups, and the mirage was terrible anyway. The velocity results were VERY impressive! The 3 velocities on the magneto speed were 60, 61, and 62 grains of RL26 with bullet .005" off the lands. I shot one round of 63 grains at 3162'.......Rich

Are you shooting with an 8 or 9 twist? Those numbers are impressive! How was the recoil with that 63gr charge? I'd love to get some of those loaded in my gun at some point to run my tests with.
I'm planning to chrono the 180 Bergers I have loaded up with the 63.3gr on Friday and post results.
Apparently I never posted my results. With 63.3gr RL26, I was able to shove the Berger 180gr Hybrid at an average of 3030fps.
I need to get a hold of some 175gr ELDX and see what sort of speeds I'm able to sling them at
I've shot one piglet to date at about 60 yards and didn't take pics because of how graphic it was. I'm estimating that 180gr was moving along around 2950fps and had close to 3500ft-lbs of energy. Let's just say there was nothing to eat left on that piglet. I should've taken a head shot because that's all that was left after the shot I took behind it's shoulder. It literally lifted it up off the ground as it tore it apart!
