338-300 PRC... Sherman Improved!

Haha, Nilgai was my excuse for building a 9.3x62... Ive only hunted them with archery and never closed the deal, so an extra range excuse made sense.

Do I require a LR nilgai rig too?

Update on the McGuire Ballistics 225 gr Copper Rose load work. It was short & sweet! Started with a short charge weight ladder using H4350. The mono's take up a bit of case room so 78 & up were starting to get compressed.

76 - 2863
77 - 2896
78 - 2937
79 - 2973

Charges 76/77/78 landed within 1/2" or touching at 100 yards so I shot groups with 77 & 78 since I'd like to stay upwards of 2900. Shot great at 77 gr of H4350, then opened up afterwards above 77. Gotta love it when you get a load on the first try!

That looks like you have a real shooter there!

I'll be posting on my 33 nosler thread soon with my results shooting the 250 grain copper rose.

Heck yeah!!

Looking forward to seeing how the 250 CR's shoot for you.

250 SMK's are next up to bat in this one, we'll see how they compare to your 33 Nosler. I'll be using H4831sc for an apples to apples comparison.

Quick update: we're at 200 rounds on the barrel and it's sped up I'm sure. H4350 is proving to be amazing in this one. Cleans up super easy and hardly any wear on the throat at this point.

Pictures below of the lead into the throat, and the lands/grooves 2-3" ahead of the throat area after a scrub last night.

I may need one also!!! I built a 300 PRC for elk/nilgai. But can never have too many rifles!!! Especially one that slings big lead at 3000 fps!!!
