That sounds like THE plan. I could deal with that weight for sure but I don't blame you for wanting to go with less weight!

That's the sweet spot for me, I'm kind of over 6 pound rifles although I still have a couple. I like to spot my impacts and not feel my fillings rattle every time I squeeze the trigger.I'm a big fan of 9-10 lb scoped rifles!!

We've had great success with the 27 and 28 Sherman mags, I don't see why the 33 would be any different.Excited as a kid on x-mas! Figured I would get the dialog going right from the get go on this build.
I am very angry interested . to see how this does. I have been really toying with the idea of a 20-22". For the same reasons. I am running a 30 SM with Berger 245 but it takes a lot more barrel to reach a good velocity. This short handy rifle is something I have really been toying with. Best of luck and can't wait to see the results.
