What did the groups look like on this rifle?

The rifle has grouped exceptionally!

If you go back a few pages I've documented full load workup with several bullet & powder combinations.

I did shortly after my last post on this thread. Not much of a test, but I did take an axis deer at 320yds with the 270 ELDx at 2700fps muzzle ~2400fps impact. Not even a challenge for the ELDx. Caliber entrance and about 1" exit on a back of lung and liver hit. I was really hoping for a 600+ yd shot, but the vegetation was thicker than expected and most shot opportunities were at slowly moving animals. They never want to stop in the open lane!

Since that time, I have ran the 270 ELDx up to 2917fps with 85gr R26. No real pressure signs, but Rich saw pressure at 86gr with the 285gr eld, so I think that's about max. I want to try some faster powders, I have R17 on hand and given where I hunt, temp stability isn't an issue, so I'm going to try it as well. I'll post up when I get more data.

I really want to chop my 24" barrel to 20"…

Went to check zero after Alaska. This rifle setup has been through commercial travel, bush flights, and 20+ days in the field since last zeroed. I did check after landing in the field, and it dropped right in the same group.

I'll take that for a win! Looks like I could bring my current zero without the suppressor down 1/4 moa, and right 1/4 or so moa yet but it appears to have held same point of impact through everything.

I plan to make a separate write-up on my 33 SM adventure, but here's my ladder results. Maybe @IdahoTrecker can post this along with your data to the Sherman site. I agree that the 4350 burn rate is best in this cartridge. I have the .312 FB chamber. Data is from a MagnetoSpeed Sporter. My drops on the 81gr R26 270eldx load trued out to 1400yds as 2748fps with a .345G7.
