22 creedmoor

Also - the 88 gr ELDM is an excellent bullet. Priced right and shoots very well out of my 22-250 AI. I'm scooting them along at a comfy 3150 out of my 22" barrel. Coyotes, badgers, p dogs, and deer don't like the combo.

I plan to try them out in my 22 Creed as well.

I had my reamer (JGS) done for my .22 Creedmoor (40 Degree) with .100 Freebore. My 22x47 Lapua (Manson) is .114 Freebore. Set the reamers up for the 95gr Sierra. Settled on the 88gr ELD-M's and the 80.5gr Berger's. The 80.5gr Berger's are spooky accurate. They hold an inch group or under at 300 yards across three rifles. Two bolt rifles (22CM Improved/ 22x47) both 1-8 twist and a 1-7 twist AR-10 in 22 CM.

The 80.5gr Berger's are super easy to load. Super forgiving on seating depth . They just shoot. The seating depth is a little more critical with the 88gr ELD-M but when you find what the rifles likes , they are amazing with a super BC.

Exact powder/ bullet I am shooting in my long barrel 22 Creedmoor for matches.
Still using 75gr and 6.5 Staball for predators in the short barrel
venatic,..
How much StaBall with the 75's and WHAT, Twist ?
Thanks ! .22 Creed will BE, my Next, Yote Rifle, too !

Shot a ladder of H4350 with 85.5 Bergers today. Speeds not as consistent as I would like but had a decent node around 38.5gr and 3100fps. Might try another powder to see if I can get ES down.

Looking at trying RL23, H4831SC, or N560. Any suggestions on where I should start?

Mine likes the h4831sc. 7 twist criterion, 24". 3250 with the 88s and 43.5 grains 4831, alpha LRP brass.

Also have used n565 , 45 grains at similar speeds.

I've talked to Cooper about another rebarrel in 22 Creedmore but they're a year and a half out. My gunsmith tells me Benchmark can have one in about 6 months. I've got lapua small primer brass and a couple thousand 75 and 88 grain ELDM's. Plenty of powder on hand too. This is the Cooper with an 1132 yard prairie dog. 85.5 grain Berger's at 3140 in a 22-250. Pretty enthusiastic about the creed from all these posts!

My first .22 Creedmoor was a 16". I went on the short side. So I could run it suppressed for calling coyotes. It was a dog with the heavies velocity wise and was down the road fairly quick.
I'm looking to build, a 24 inch, .22 Creed with, a 1-9 Twist to, shoot, 53 V-Maxes, 55 Nosler Bal Tips or, Sierra 55 gr. Blitz's, on the "Light" side for, Sage Rats and Rock Chucks then, use, ( Re-Zero rifle of, course ) the 69 gr. Sierra TMK's or, 73 gr. VLD Bergers @ 3,400 for, Winter Yotes & LR Steel, Fun.
Hopefully getting, good Velocity ( But not, Screamers ) to get some, "descent" Barrel Life ( est 1200 - 1500 Shots ). My "theory" anyway, LOL !
Blowing Jackets OFF Bullets and SUB 1,000 rounds of, Barrel Life, are NOT,.. "My Cup of, Tea". Many guys, will Build One, NEVER to try, this Cartridge,.. again !

I will actually see how many rounds a .22 CM barrel will last by the end of this summer. I have 810 rounds on mine right now. I have 5 boxes(100 each) of 80.5gr Berger's left. Then I will see where it's at at 1310 rounds. You never know. My 25 SAUM only went 700 rounds and I played nice with that barrel. My last 6.5 CM Bartlein barrel went a little over 2600 rounds before I had to rebarrel. It was still shooting 1" @ 300 yards with 2150 on it.
