I think this is why Ruger came out with their 416 Ruger. 330-350grains at 2600fps would give me a warm feeling at the start of a hunt. For 0 to 300 yards it as flat as needed.

Grandad told stories of 11 footers.... but those stories were from the 50s. Weather has been good for growing big bears on the peninsula. Will be interesting to see what monsters are taken next go around.
