Nice buck! What were the circumstances and location? If you are in Colorado, based on his antlers, I think he is a mixed breed deer. Still a muley, but based on the right antler, he might have a few WT genes in there. It is rare, but it has been documented in CO.

Agree. Shape of the rack resembles a whitetail quite a bit but the mass is that of a muley.

Have this white tail on the camera. Now he needs to show himself during daylight. I've nicknamed him sharky as it looks like he has big ole neck Gilles like a bull shark.

I love that you made your hunt an adventure. Even if you had no success, 7 days in the back country is a memory in and of itself.
I killed a dandy bull in Utah with my 28 last month and 177g Hammer Hunters. I'm curious what powder you are shooting behind your 169's?
