I guess I messed up, tried to post two pictures and ended up with another one as an attached file! Oh well!

djones I went back a reviewed your videos and then looked at the pictures underneath. OK, so for 7 hogs shown, you fired 22 shots throughout the Videos. That amounts to about 3 1/2 rounds per hog. And am not sure the two bottom hogs aren't the same hog, flipped over, which would change the ratio quite a bit! I don't see any blood on a couple of them, so are you back to buying road kill off the teenagers, just to make it look like you're getting a lot of hogs?

Anyway, guess I'm just going to have to stick with my M1A's though. Retirement doesn't pay as good as it used to! I only have two problems with the M1A's and that is the weight. The Super match with the Springfield Armory 6-24 x 56 scope, the ---- thing weighs close to 15 lbs loaded! The other problem is I'm going to have to swap out the Scope since it will not adjust to less than 400 Meters. I think it must be an ex military scope because of this. I believe they called this the M-21 in the Army, but not sure. At present it is zero'd at 800 yards, but my eyes can only hold about 2 MOA at that range so don't shoot much at that range anymore. The National match has an Archangel Stock with Bi-pod and is a little lighter, but not all that much. Both are great for shooting from a blind, but not if you're going to have to hump them (Not that kind of hump, djones) through the fields.

Anyway will post a picture of the SM, and am soliciting advice for a new scope. Preferably for under $25.00!....LOL

Nice looking setup Pack! I've got a M1, but don't have a scope on it yet. I've got all the parts, but haven't got around to putting it all together. I had one of the Springfield Armory scopes on a R700 in .308, but had to sell it to buy a car during my first marriage. That thing was awesome. I got my first 3 shot one hole group with that rig.

hope you don't expect me to post all the hogs i've kilt since i took an lrh vacation. i'll pirate someone else's just to keep it innersting.



 
mind you, this gun is only a few months old and i was experimenting with half a dozen boolits at various charges and wuzznt sure where they were hitting at times. i usually never miss but i had a hard time getting the lead down on some loads

BTW, djones, Samantha did go hog hunting and got about a 80 pound hog. Her dad said she wanted to keep it to show the other kids and he had to override that idea since they were in a SUV......LOL

Oh yea, djones, I've seen those hogs so many times, in so many different pictures that you need to rotate the stock of dead pigs in your barn! Particularly the spotted one!
