I have a DPMS 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24" heavy fluted barrel. It is very accurate to 500yds, haven't got any where to shoot farther.

To all ar 15 owners I found a company that sells a stock conversion kit that makes your gun legal in NY. and california EXILE MACHINE it is called the hammerhead it replaces the rear pistol grip it is pretty neat and not a bad price you can just buy the peace and use your old stock or buy the hole thing.

I just finished my .308 rifle. I assembled an all DPMS 18" upper with a BR 308 lower from THE BATTLE RIFLE COMPANY. Due to cost/availability of ammo much of the excitement to shoot a new rifle has been stifled. Still, I will try. :) I would like to compare it head to head with my DPMS in .260 Remington. I put itt hydraulic recoil buffers in both. Hopefully very soon the Texas hog population will suffer..

@ Mike Monson. Hopefully soon, prices will come back down to "reality" again? I haven't seen it this crazy in like 4 years....Oh wait, that was the last election? Hmmm, that's weird!! I would love to build a .308 black gun, but you can barely find a bolt carrier assembly on line? If you can, bust out the KY jelly, because it's gonna' hurt!! Sad State of affairs we are in right now...Sad. gun)

Well, at least Snyder hasn't jumped on the bandwagon...yet. But, he is a Republican and I believe he hunts.

They don't think this ban business will have enough votes to pass the senate. Soon there will be a glut of AR related stuff at cheaper than cheap prices. It will serve them right. I was fortunate enough to remember the last time so I kept a good supply on hand. I shoot a lot so the stuff I have gets put to good use. The point is I shouldn't have to keep enough stuff in my house to supply the whole **** Marine Corps just to counter act this foolishness going on right now. It will get better soon.

I sure hope it gets better! I went to Bass Pro, and Gander Mountain to get some Large Pistol Primers. Neither store had them, and BPS only had 400 Large Rifle Primers, and nothing else!! Their handgun cases had 4 semi-auto pistols, and three or four revolvers!! The gun counter guy said that every time they get a few handguns in, they are gone within minutes of being put in the case!! Absolute insanity!! But hey, the economy has to be benefiting from this stupidity?:D

Back in the day, I could go down to the local gun shop and get the components I needed in 5 minutes and it was cheap, That all changed when Clinton imposed the original Assault Rifel (AK ban and pre-ban) legislation which, incidentially was drafted in part by our favorite Senator, Diane Feinstein, which 'sunsetted' but the die was cast.

I've continuously anticipated future disruptions in supply chain economics and acted accordingly with components, maintaining my inventory at levels that associate with disruptions that I knew would occur again.

Unlike the old days when propellants came in cardboard cartons and the propellant had a definite shelf life, modern technology has made packaging an indefinite shelf life. Propellants come in vacuum sealed plastic bottles and jugs that last indefinitely. Projectiles are packaged in plastic boxes that you can stack in the corner, same with primers so there is little excuse not to carry stock. It's like my business. I don't carry just one of a part, I have multiples on hand, all the time and I order using an inventory level and useage factor. Same applies for reloading supplies, in fact, I just ordered a couple 8 pound kegs of powder. Sure, it's on back order but I have enough for the forseeable future.

We live in a 'I want it now' society. Problem is, it really don't work, especially in this case.

Patience is a virtue that comes with age and experience. I practice both.....:)

Sure is...

Like a good Capitalist, I have stock in Strum Ruger, Olin and Colt Industries. I may not be the brightest bulb but I have a feeble glow....

Well, I hope we aren't on the verge of a new "reality". I was explaining on face book as to why the AR is such a good hunting platform. People, even some here didn't even k
now you could use it hunting. Thanks to this website I was turned on to The Varmint Hunter magazine and learned what a great platform the AR is for it. I can't wait to get on prairie dogs and actually hear coyote calls in my sleep.
Supplies will normalize slowly.
Keep the faith brothers!

Sold all but the one LE901 Colt that I hunt with. Have the adapter for the 223 upper but will maybe buy one or two back now that prices are coming back down. Got to love supply and demand! Made a killing and it is all tax free!!
