proof research barrels???

Reading magazines and forums to get opinions is very inadequate to say the least. To get the real truth from those that have independently tested them and built 338 rifles with them you must either do a search on this forum to see what Kirby Allen and Why other other gunsmiths will not stake their reputation on them. Let alone those that are trying to market the cartridge and rifle with their name on it, such as Kirby.

What do you call Proof? Do you know how Proof started,by a guy building rifles at his home.Founder KK Jense Jense Precision. Bettin customs back east builds many for years off ABS.Oregain Sniper challenge won with one in 2013.#1 3 gun won in 2014.This guy that is a few years behind me grew up just down the road,we shot at same club,hes shot in Worlds and internationally, is having great luck with his rifle

I took a long range shooting class a couple years ago. The instructor, a former military sniper, was using a proof research barrel on his rifle and he was very happy with it at the time. Not sure how it's held up for him since then. If it works as advertised, could be very useful technology. Especially for military snipers who currently have to haul around a very heavy rifle.
