Yep, I Tumble Bullets.

I want to try that knife sharpening with stones and stropping. At present i content myself watching videos of others doing that when my insomnia is being a pest. Helps my brain turn off haha.

Nothing gets me ready for bed like sharpening a good knife or broadhead with a glass of whiskey and watching a hunting show!

Takes some time before you can do it by feel and not watch what your doing though

I'm not sure I'm the kind of person who should EVER be doing something with a knife and not looking! 🤣

Add whiskey to that equation and I suspect my ability to count using my fingers would swiftly diminish 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

@BFD 2.0 can try it

I'm there too. I can feel the perfect spot of the edge on the strop. Don't even need to look 3/4 of the time.

That article has a whole bunch of BS. The dude just flat out doesnt know what he's talking about and mischaracterizes a bunch of stuff. For some reason people on the internet have started propagating the 'cold welding' myth and have even heavily edited welding videos to make you think there's little to no heat involved. Make no mistake, spot welding is done with heat and the only reason it works is because the metal is hot enough to become liquid for a split second.

I will say this- I think what y'all are talking about with regards to bulet to case sticking is from galvanic corrosion due to a combination of dissimilar metals in direct contact with each other, and an electrolyte in between (salt in the sweat from your fingers), accelerated by exposure to humidity.

I've not had it happen to me but I'm in a dry climate.

Want to keep it from happening? Wear gloves when seating bullets, and brush some graphite powder in the neck.

All there my friend…but my instinct to catch a knife or broadhead as I drop it has drawn blood a time or two!
Maybe that's the whisky... 🤪

For upkeep of an edge, and not creating one...I abandoned the wet stones in favor of the various grit ceramic rods. I follow that up with black/course compound on a roughed up and furry leather strop. Then I do naked furry stropping, followed by flat blade, spine touching flat, stopping on a Norwex Envirocloth. The Norwex is a high end microfiber infused with silver strands.

I got a visit from the FBI after the Dept of Energy detected low yield atom splitting as I was waving my knives through the air...

Norwex!?!? My wife is always giving me **** for using her precious norwex cloths for things other than what she bought them for…

Hmmmm….

This should be fun! 🥴

My wife sells it. I have my own Norwex. Problem averted. I also established the agreement that unless we are looking at cardboard box living, I don't need permission to buy anything. I wish more fellers would do that.
