Why shoot a sissy rifle?

Those in the .270 Weatherby short magnum, 6.5 creedmore, 300 blackout camp. I just don't have the experience. From what I've read and seen, I just can't get on board.
(The 6.5 creedmore just doesn't excite me like the .300 or the 7mm Weatherby)

i said it and i stand by it.

Makes me wonder about the 3-letter agencies. We all remember how the FBI couldn't handle the 10mm and thereby downgraded.
I wonder if the 3-letter agencies would have needed to downgrade to the CM if if Kackles McWordsalad had won...?
No doubt and memtb would have too as well because he wouldn't be able to pay the carbon tax on those 90gr loads Ha Ha

All BS aside. It's essentially a 260 with the a longer neck for todays high bc bullets much like the 300 PRC is to the 300WM. I prefer the 260 only because I had one and all the components to reload it. If I didn't, I'd have hit the easy button and got the CM. I joke like everyone regarding this cartridge but it's all in fun. Mostly the name of the cartridge that makes it easy to kick around.

Not so much a "barrel burner"……but @ 90 grains burned with each shot, it is a "powder burner"! 😉 memtb
Memtb,..
You're going to NEED, a Gov'Mint, EPA Carbon Tax, "Permit" for, burning that Much,.. Gun Powder, son !
That's TWICE what, an EPA Friendly, 65 Creed.,. consumes !
WT,.. F' kind of, "Cannon" are you shooting ??
The 7 Rem Mag, .270 Wby, .30-06 and .270 WSM's, All consume, LESS than, 70 grains of Powder and CAN Kill anything, on the Planet with,..
the "Right" Bullet !
Yikes !! My Shoulder Aches, just thinking about,. it ! LOL ! ( I'll probably start Flinching again, just "thinking about",.. the POUNDING ! ).

3 letters. R U M. Noslers do as well

I'm "From",. the PRE- Muzzle Brake, Suppressor/ "Can" and,. Range Finder,.. ERA, guys,..
Yup, an old Dinosaur, whose "Best Day" was selling his, UN-Braked, Custom, .338 Win Mag !
The 65 Creed, finally CURED, my .338 Win. Mag, "Flinch" ( the Curing actually "started with", going to, the .270 Wby & .270 WSM, First, tho ! ).
Our Forefathers, shot / Killed everything, in North America with, .36 up to, .42 cal. Flintlocks, so I think that, the 65 Creed is, "Good Enough" !
Some of the "Bigger stuff', probably took, 2 or 3 shots, and some serious,. Bleed out, TIME ! ( Kinda like, the 65 Creed ) LOL !

Two HUGE Idaho "Desert" Unit, Bull Elk were shot by, 2 Ladies,. one at, 345 yds and the other at 387-395 or so, Yards with, 6.5 Creed's and Hornady, Precision Hunter, Factory Ammo ( 143 gr. ELD-X's ) Both Bull's were Filmed and ON YouTube to see and BOTH Died, DRT, in a Few seconds.
DON'T sell, the 65 Creed "Short" ! In the Hands of, "Skilled Hunters" at, REASONABLE Ranges, they can Be, plenty, Deadly.

No doubts about it!

One thing I've seen about the vast majority of YouTube videos…..they rarely show the dismal failures!

However, perhaps there are no dismal failures with the CM. When the CM speaks……history is written! 😉 memtb

Darn, if my wife didn't already have an "unbraked" .338 WM that she loves…..I might have been "in the market"! 😉 memtb
Wow, that's One Tough, Gal !!!
Who "works Up" Loads for Her and Tests them, from,.. the "Bench" ???
I Had No problems, shooting Mine from, "Field Positions" and NEVER Felt, the Recoil when, shooting an, Elk !
About 5 to 7 rds from the Bench, tho and, I was,. "Done" ! ( Fortunately, My .338 WM was Extremely Accurate and only needed 3, Cold Bore shots )
Silly me, as I liked to "Play around" with Loads and just HAD to "try",.. 210 Noslers, 225 gr Horn Spire Points and even a few, 250 gr Nosler Partitions
( Just in case, I ran across,.. a Grizz ! LOL ).
But Once, I found out that, a .270 WSM with 140 gr. Berger's at 3,200 FPS, Killed Elk just as Dead as, the Ole .338,. I said, BYE to that, Gun !
I Shoot My 65 Creed, a LOT and from, All positions, I can Hit, 8 to 10 inch, Steel Plates BETTER, Now, than I ever could with, the Bigger Cal Rifles !
I personally, Don't feel, "Under Gunned" out to, 400 yds ish,.. on Elk and 500-600 yds, on, Deer / Antelope.
And, "Recoil" or, possible "Flinching", hardly ever, comes to mind, anymore !

I do the load development, though we haven't changed loads in quite a few years….. Barnes 225 gr. TTSX's.

Just prior to hunting I prove her 300 yard zero (from the bench)…..then she verifies the zero @ 300.

So…..she doesn't shoot from the bench much. She doesn't "enjoy" the recoil and finds it boring! But, like yourself…..she says she never feels it when shooting game. Heck, she's even taken a few head from prone position…..which may be the worst as far as "felt recoil" is concerned!

So yea…..she's pretty tough! 😉 memtb

Very true.
Bottle rocket wars were awsome, dozens in a pipe so you can aim them, kinda like a fire ball and a mini gun in one 😂
Drinking water from creeks and tree stumps
Fun times 😁

Did anyone else play with pure sodium in water?? Or carbide?? 😂
We used to have bottle rocket wars and yes used 3 ft. section of .75 pvc. Was a blast . No pun intended .
