Soā€¦ā€¦if a 6.5 CM chambered rifle is considered a " sissy rifle ", what constitutes a " big boy rifle"? Does that have to be something that will kick the ever lovin' snot out of you unless you put a brake the size of a garbage can on the end of it that will absolutely clear every other shooter off the line at the local range and qualify you as the king of A holes?

Not necessarilyā€¦ā€¦they just don't wear "lacy" panties!

Many here have never encountered a "big boy" rifleā€¦.with or without brake! So, they have minimal knowledge of which they speakā€¦.talking through their "lacy" panties! šŸ˜‰ memtb

No one mentioned the distance on a kill shot with any rifle. We were in Africa, and one of the guys shot a left-handed 6.5 Creedmore. He dropped a zebra in its tracks at 505 yards. 147 gr. Hornaday. The man behind the gun makes the difference. I like the 7x300 win mag for a little extra distance. The Kudu was shot at 920 yds.

Only because it was a leftie. LOL

Yeah, it's all about the nut behind the trigger with macho or with sissy cartridges... Kill shot at 1507 yds w/ a 6.5 CM & the 147... (don't react to this one with a *** show, please. This is supposed to stay fun here. šŸ¤ )

That's right, I birddog 68 shoot a sissy rifle. Not just any sissy rifle but a 6.5 creedmoor, the queen of sissies.
Some are afraid to mention that they shoot a skinny jeans man bun latte drinking rifle for fear that they will be ridiculed by their former friends. Not I.
I was looking for a rifle that would basically be a range rifle and was a little easier on my torn rotator cuff but wanted a bit more power than my 223 Remington. I wanted readily available brass and bullets and something that I wouldn't have to buy any powder that wasn't on my shelf already. The 6.5 CM checked all the boxes.
I ended up buying a Browning Xbolt western hunter last spring with a 24" barrel and yea it's even got a brake on it!
It's actually been boring working up loads for since it's shot everything good that I have tried so far.
I'm shooting 140 ELDM and 140 ballistic tip and have used IMR 4350, Ramshot hunter,W760 and staball 6.5 and it doesn't care what I fill the case with. It just shoots!
I'd like to hear what brought others to buy such a sissy rifle ?
Don't worry your replies will be confidential. šŸ¤£
CM is no sissy rifle. Now my 6mm ARC may qualify as a sissy rifle. No shoulder injury nudged me towards the low recoil 6mm ARC. I just have never liked higher recoil offerings. I don't hunt anything larger than mule deer & as an archery hunter, I thrive on getting close B4 pulling the trigger more often than not.

Seldom are my shots over a hundred yards with the 6mm ARC. Exception was my 1st year with the 6mm ARC at 254 yards. Even the ARC has not seemed like a sissy rifle to me since.

If the 6.5's qualify, then the ARC most definitely does.
I mentioned in an above post that my favorite rifle is my Tikka in 260 Remington; and that stands true.
However, the 6mm ARC is my favorite cartridge for hunting deer, and hand-loading. Now, I think most importantly, it's that my daughter harvests her deer using the 6mm ARC, which is something to be treasured (the time spent with my hunting partner). She's a small framed teen, so sissy is mandatory for her.
