Why shoot a sissy rifle?

And you WON'T See, any .270 Winchesters, on Texas Plinking, 1,000 Yard Steel Challenge, either
Ummm, you will this spring when I hope to go there with the infamous .270TH. It most certainly has the horsepower. But then again, it ain't your grandpa's .270.

"Maybe Hornady will come out with an Ackley Improved version that holds 1.5 gr more powder and call it the 264 Pile Driver Magnum Express just to ease the delicate manhood of hunters."
Let's get the jump on those Hornady guys and name it the 6.5 Creekley Express. You design the reamer and I'll pay to have it made. We'll be rich I tell you - RICH!!!! I can see it now. Sissies the world over will be bending over backwards for them!

Did I mention it was a Vodka drinking kinda night? It is...

Man, there's a joke or two there, but I won't touch it. I like it here. LOL

Imagine a 6.5 creedmoor with a 80,000 psi steel case going 3500 fps! Would we still need the man bun?
Just for fun...

With the success of matching 7mm Backcountry in QuickLOAD model I entered up a 6.5 Needmoor at 80k PSI;) (come on, everybody's doing it).

24 Inch barrel in the model, standard COAL.

ELD-M 140 comes up as 2950
ELD-M 132 comes up as 3150

61 grains of fast powder vs. 41 grains of fast powder.

So a 6.5 Steel Needmore would still need more. ;)

LOL!! I shoot one and my wife and I have not one , but TWO Prius ( or is the plural of Prius Prii ? ) ! No Bernie stickers, though! This is actually getting to be fun !

PS: I also have a Ford truck, so maybe I'm not completely lost !
Ok, ok, we'll let it go since we can tell ur heart is in the right place. Having a Prius or two along with a macho F-truck is like havin a Creed and a 300 Winnie. At least you ain't dipped in the whole way.

Well, this subject has caused a lot of mirth, angst and downright criticism, and even a few arguments over the past few months. As I sit here at my desk looking out the window to my right, I see snow of the ground, cold weather (currently a balmy 24 degrees) only a few hunting seasons open, but not my type, I eat what I shoot and Coyote 🐕 does not sound even the slightest bit tasty. As I sit here in my nice warm office, I ponder why I'm not out at the range plinking away with a sissy gun, or maybe a not so sissy gun, just out there trying to put 3 to 5 rounds into the same hole at 100 yards. The answer to that question is simple, I don't really enjoy the cold weather. However, after all this pondering, the proverbial light bulb came on. Why do we shoot sissy guns? The answer is simple. It's just downright fun!!! 🥰 Being out on a rifle range is my idea of having a good time. The camaraderie, the joking around with other shooters between times on the gun, betting to see who can shoot the smallest group and then wandering up to the clubhouse, washing hands in cold water and partaking of a fermented beverage or two along with maybe a burger, and continuing with the gun talk is simply downright fun. For me, it's a mini vacation. While I enjoy fishing, a day on the range shooting, actually doing something beats a day sitting out in a boat or on the shore waiting for a fish to decide to bite my bait. So Gentlemen, and you Ladies too! We shoot sissy guns simply because it's fun!
