This powder has been out for a little while. I have only heard of a few people using it. Some of those with success and some without great results. I'm just curious as to why It seems like it hasn't gained as much popularity as slower burn rate powders like retumbo & h1000. I have 4 different rifles that should favor it's burn rate. Could some of you fellows could share your experience with it? Good or bad.

8133 burn rate is slower than H1000 and about the same as Retumbo. I have been testing it in a 300 Norma Mag Improved using 230gr bullets with promising results. It burns very clean. Much cleaner than RL33. But RL33 is showing more promise on accuracy so far. RL33 is slower than Retumbo and 8133. Not finished testing yet

I really liked it in the 28 Nos. I have a good buddy that's been using it in a few different cartridges with good success. Good temp stability and its by far the cleanest magnum powder I have used.

Waiting on the barrel and reamer for a .264 WM then I'm going to try it in that also.

Loaded some to try for 300RUM. Noticed 93.5 gr occupied the same volume as 96 gr of Retumbo. Haven't shot them yet.

8133 is supposed to be slightly slower burn rate as Retumbo but Hodgdon lists 3gr less charge for max in 300rum with higher velocity and higher pressure.
??? I'm kind of confused by their data and burn rate listing.

Tagged for others results. I have an unopened jug I haven't had a chance to try yet and am curious as well.

I just bought 2 lbs. I was going to use it in my 30-Lapua Improved to test. On the label it suggests it is for 7 REM Mags, 7 STW's, 30 Noslers, and 300 REM Ultra Mags. It also states it is temp stable and reduces copper fouling. Sorry I don't have a starting load for you, but I do feel it would be worth a go in a large 30 cal with heavy bullets.

Tried it in my 25/06 and 7mm Weatherby mag. In the 25/06 I worked up to 61 grs with a 117 gr Sierra FB. Accuracy was good but never got to test for velocity. In my 7mm I used the 175 gr Hornady with a max load of 8133(in my case 77grs) Fed 215 in a Weatherby case. Accuracy was MOA and vel was 3080 ft/sec from a 26" barrel. Worked good in both cases.

8133 is in fact slower burning than Retumbo. It's closer to N570 in burn rate.

To the OP. I'm using it successfully in my 300 RUM with 212 ELD-Xs at 3140 fps. It's doing quite well for me
