First let me say CONGRATULATIONS for all the fine trophies already posted.
Here's a little piggy that I took in GA this year. The boar took a high shoulder shot from an AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. The 140gr BTSP droped him but it took 3 - 9mm slugs to the head to convince him that it was over.

Fantastic buck. I'd be curious to know what it weighed.
Your kill makes me wonder why I own so many magnum rifles.
Ok, I pulled out a very old friend for this hunt. I rebarreled my first rifle, Savage 110C .270 Win with SS barrel that I bought when I was 18. The rifle is 51 years young. Ok you can do the math to figure how old I am. Mature doe 220 yards with 130 gr BT. RL 16 pushes it about 3050 so very nice deer setup. I cant even recall how long it has been since I killed a deer with this rifle so it was very satisfying to put another notch on it. Other than new barrel completely stock. It does have a neat story; I fell first time I hunted with it, broke the stock in the tang area and took it back to gun shop. Savage rep happened by the following week and thru his effort got it restocked free as nice gift for a 18 year old kid.

Not long range even by bow standards. 22yds. He turned at the shot and the arrow entered at the last rib went through the liver and the offside lung. Only went about 70 yds before he piled up. My favorite part was my 6 year old wanting to help the whole time from skinning through cut and wrap.
