What is the hardest big game tag that you were able draw?

I put in for a unit 40 Idaho deer tag and 'someone' entered the wrong hunt # and I drew a unit 46 elk tag instead. I got to talking to the St. Marie's sporting goods store owner and never thought to check my receipt. I was extremely upset with both the owner and myself!
Grab a Montana elk tag ,I'll put you on a shooter

I have drawn cow elk in MT and OR - but I think those are pretty good odds so I am not especially lucky. My luck has been so bad in WA State (resident 34 years but I probably only applied half of those years) for any special tag that I am starting to wonder about using one of the tag services for all the western states to go after bull elk, mule deer, mountain goat and big horn sheep tags.

Anyone have recommendations for tag services with which they have been successful?

Early Kaibab AZ deer tag. The late tags are the coveted tags, but early is good, but usually still takes 10+ years. I drew it in the lottery on year 6.

I am now 6 years out again waiting for another one. Still might have 4+ years to draw it.

4th season Mule deer buck tag in a couple of good units here in CO. 7 & 6 points respectively to draw. I killed a past prime four point buck last day of season the first time last day of season. We saw much bigger, but got ghosted.

It was also the coldest hunt I'd been on -20⁰+ for lows and 0⁰ for the high. My buddy got a cow elk opening morning, the exposed meat was freezer burnt by the time we came off the mountain. The last hunt I ate the tag, I didn't see anything better than a big three point opening day.

2021 I used 19 points to hunt the Glade Park elk herd south of Grand Junction. I wound up with Covid during the hunt and was able to shoot a 5X5 last day of my solo hunt. I saw some much bigger elk, but the fatigue kept me from getting on them during legal hours.

I'm over 20 points in and still waiting to draw a CO bull moose tag. I'm not nearly as invested in RMB and goat points (10 ea), but still have been unable to draw a tag. I do have WY, UT, and NV points but am no where near drawing the elk, deer, or pronghorn tag I want.

I've been applying for a sheep tag here in my home state (Montana) for 45 years, so far no joy but my day will come.

Last year my wife drew a sheep tag in the Breaks after 19 years of applying. She made good on it, with a tough 21 day hunt:)

So, we've one sheep tag in 64 years of trying to draw...

I usually put in for a goat tag and get it in the Stillwater mine area but they have limited harvest #'s and it closes early
