Savage Ultralight in 300 Win Mag
The magazine feed, and twist rates of the newer ones would be desirable. The old semi style or the more mini 14 looking one they had in the 2000s?
No Sako or Kimber available in .378 bolt-face anymore. CZ going to the 600 from the 527 eliminated another option as well. Are either the kimber or sako in current production?
The volquartsen was a start, an 11.25 lbd before optics start.
I put fingernail polish on all screws. It worked for 3500 shots on my 416 rem mag .I put it on those big screws .They make a one piece mount that bridges both scope dovetails. I HAVE shot 1.5 inch groups at 300 yards with mine with a 6x18 power scope and Hornady match 75 gr boat tails and r15 or w 748 .That target model is awesome .Bought one also, was accurate. Vibrated every thing attached to it off. How did you keep the tuner on? Mine kept vibrating loose. But it was a shooter.
Where do I sign up for one? I'd take 2 easy!Mine is simple. A Henry AR 7 survival rifle in 22 mag or better yet the 17 WSM, Really good iron sights, Red dot & suppressor ready also. I know the 10 22 is a better option. But I always liked the way the AR 7 stowed away in such a neat little package.
I waa told a Winchester ang I ejection in 357 mag could be made into 357 maxium.I had a Browning model 92 lever gun I wanted to rechamber to 357 max to do for first shot .That was the best lever gun I ever owned sold it .Ruger No. 1 without forearm inherent problems.
+100 on .357 Max lever action
Friend on Alaska has a 35 - 284 model 88 .He found the rifle in the dump in 284 .Thru throw away guns if no shells .it's a awesome gun pretty powerful same as 35 WhelenWinchester Model 88 with a stainless steel barrel in 338 Federal.
They broke alot and ruger almost recalled them in 22 mag .They use to replace it with your choice of gun .Ruger made a 10/22 22 mag for a very short time, they're $1k-$1200 if you can find one now. Magnum Research and Volquartsen both make a semi-auto 22-Mags that feed w/Ruger magazines.
22 Creed will do what you want regarding 220Swift ++ velocity.
I had a marlin 1894 in 32 mag I was going to rechamber it to 327 mag .I wish I had never sold that gun I think like 250 were made $4000 nowWhen I shot cowboy silhouette I wanted a 24" Oct Barreled Marlin 1894 32 H&R Mag and today it would be nice to see a SS 39A Marlin in 22LR and 22Mag.
