We took my .300RUM w. 28" Rock Creek pushing a 215 Hybrid for any LR stuff we might have encountered.
My 14 year old daughter got it done with the 7 Rem Mag w. 26" Bartlein a pushing 180 Hybrid this past weekend. Big fat cow.

My older daughter and son have bull tags in late November for the same unit, so the same rifles will be going up.

Actually all ready been. Just got back a few days ago.
Took MOA 300 wsm, 215 bergers.
Back up was Horizon 300 wm, 215 bergers.
Son was having trouble with his scope so he actually used the 300 wm, so I took a Broz 6.5-06 ai as a backup to the others.
We both got bulls, nothing great, but we were still both grinning from ear to ear. We got stories to tell and hopefully they will last until we can get back out there and create some more.

My first Elk hunt will be this fall in Wyoming. Really like my 270 Win Tikka. It shoots
sub 1 moa with 110gr TSXs, 130gr Accubonds and 150gr Partitions. The Partition
will be my choice. 57.5gr of RL-22 leaves my 22' tube @ 2850MV. The NP and me
are good out to 325yds or so. Won't shoot any farther than that.

One shot, 225 yards. He ran about 35 yards and dropped. Great trip!
