Less than a month... Headed for Montana October 18-28 elk/deer combo on my uncles ranch!!! I can't wait, turned in my leave request this week.

17 days to wait. Unit 24 Colorado first rile season. Oct 13 thru 17th. It will be my first Elk hunt. I am kinda lucky cuz I am heading to Ohio this week for opening of bow season for deer. 3 days of deer hunting will keep the excitement at bay for a little while. I guess the week in between will drag out tho. May have to do some squirrel hunting to pass the time faster.

CO unit 62. Second season elk and maybe bear. It's my first elk trip and I am pumped.

Just got back from Colorado black powder elk hunt, we went 1 for 3 this yr. I got a heavy horned 7x7 bull that's going on the wall. The bulls we saw were all singles and not much bugling going on.

Wyoming Cow/calf, next monday, Idaho bulls, on the 15 of Oct. Then Oregon, Spike only in Nov. and Washington archery in December. Already worked thru early archery in Washington. All other hunts are rifle hunts. A great season. Hopeing to draw more bull tags next year.
