I had a lot of other options I was ready to throw out before I read that post. It definitely limited my recommendations. You right, I withdraw my recommendation and yield to the gentleman from Arizona.
I may have missed it, but is the max OAL for the action mentioned anywhere? FWIW, the SAAMI/CIP specs for the LM and NM cartridges have a max COAL 93.5mm (3.681").Thanks for all the suggestions! Went and looked at what was available directly from them and it looks like its only 3 of them 300wm, 300nm, and 300 rum.

I understand their barrel conversion kit is proprietary, and I agree their offering is limited, but it is unclear if they will do custom chambering. He's wanting Factory ammo! Good luck finding Norma in either caliber!Depends on how much powder you want to burn! Also, make sure you can get brass and dies for whatever you decide! 308nm if you want to use less powder and 300nm for more.

Well that's what I call it anyway. Just have fun whatever you choose.
I provided a .300 PRC barrel option in #46.This keeps getting asked but no one has answered it (or I missed the response):
Max COAL for a Desert Tech SRS is 4"
He's talking about one of these:

From 223 all the way to 338 Lapua. Just a Barrel, Bolt, and magazine swap get's you from mild to wild.
The correct answer is 300 PRC. Just go find a barrel maker that makes it, if the one you're looking at now doesn't. There's a handful out there, you can get whatever you want but for factory ammo, 300 PRC has the right bullet weights/designs for long range. If you can afford to feed it, 300 Norma mag would be great. I just can't image spending $5.00-$7.00+ every time I pulled the trigger on a long range target type gun for range time.
