What .257 bullet are you shooting?

I'm shooting plane Jane Remington 120 grain pspcl's in my ruger no 1 in 2506. Shooting 1" groups @ 100 and getting 90% weight retention. Shot 2 Michigan whitetails this year, and bullet performed about as good as it could get.

I'm in the process of gathering parts for a .25SST build. I had planned on shooting the heavies, not specifically for their BC. But because I have a good bit H1000. I really like this powder in my 6.5rsaum. But with the shortage of 131 ACEs and 133 Bergen's, I'm looking for options. it has me reconsidering and thinking another 6.5???

How do you know what powder and bullet combo your new build will like? It could possibly hate h1000. Not trying to be Debbie Downer, just wondering...

I just built a 25 creedmoor and worked a load up with the 117 gr. Absolute Hammers. Getting 3150 fps on a brand new barrel with 46 grain of staball 6.5. Haven't used it on game yet but as you can see others are happy with the terminal performance.

I no longer have it, but I used to push the 92gr HH at 4,000fps with RL19 in my Weatherby Mark V and it was deadly accurate.

Only ever shot coyotes with it… let's just say it would be a terrible choice if you were a fur hunter.
I ended up swapping it out for something else shiny that caught my attention, but I would've been comfortable shooting any big game of the PNW out to 500 yards with that gun had I been given the opportunity.

75 gr Hammer Hunters got 4000 + in the AI using Imr4350
92 gr Hammer Hunters Klls Deer like a Lightning Bolt in regular Off the Shelf 25-06 Rem
