VISA Bill Arrived - Mule Deer CO Tag - Wife WHATTT??

Muddy, you are one lucky guy and congrats on the almost 40 years of marriage.

Definitely a couple of nice diners worth and good luck on all those future guided hunts Lol.

I've found in close to 50 years of marriage that it is much easier to apologize rather than ask permission. A few years ago I was cleaning a nice new CZ Ringneck 20 ga side by side. My wife said "I don't remember ever seeing that one". I replied "I know, me either. I had my two 12 gauge shotguns next to each other in the gun safe and I don't know what was going on in there but I opened it up and this little darling was setting there right between them!"

Sweet...my wife seldom asks either, but when she has with the brand new ones which you just have to hold... I just tell her it's been so long in the safe...time to clean em' again

So the VISA arrives today and my wife very rarely looks at it but she happened to glance at it and saw the CO charge of $396.75 for Mule deer license. WTH! I had told her how lucky I was to get drawn for the tag few weeks ago but failed to mentioned the $$$$. I guess I have failed over the years to impress my wife with the value of CO tags. She stated " I thought you were lucky to draw a tag!" Translation: I though it was free! I then went on to explain the cost of an elk tag was always encapsulated in the guided hunts so you wouldn't have seen the actually cost. I then went on to explain the elk bull tag is $661.75. Which by now my wife is sitting there scratching her head on how much these hunts cost even DIY. I finished the discussion off by saying the elk tag is correctly priced because an elk to twice the size of a mule deer and this is a very cheap hunt since I didn't buy a new rifle.

So how do you think I did?
Not so good keep an eye on that visa card you're going to see new purses jewelry maybe even a cruise
