Make sure you visit Alaska, before you make up your mind. Long, cold winters, but the other seasons are really nice. Not sure on too many jobs in the wind energy Department.
Welcome, my wife and I have been thinking about visiting Spain. My wife want to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Me, for the wine and food, especially a good paella. Love you wine from Rioja and Catalunya especially the Tempranillo and Garnacha, I like the blends as well.
Saludos y ojala pronto puedan visitarnos
Well.....you've mentioned two of the states I've lived in. I was born and raised in Louisiana, and moved to Wyoming in 1985. Louisiana has great food, but limited long range shooting opportunities. Wyoming has much for long range shooting..... but limited for good food! memtb
Maybe another question to ask is - do you like hot temperature or cold temperature? How about humidity ?
For me I like cooler temperature and low humidity. I use to live is South Dakota but not too many engineering jobs.
My friend, you don't really know what is to have limited long range shooting opportunities, believe me. In Spain there is only one place where we can shoot to 900 yards.
The rest of places are not good (100, 200, max 300 yards) and very far away.
Who cares about the humidity or cold weather when you have lots of guns? Hahahaha
You are lucky. In Spain we can't shoot targets in the forest or even not in our lands. The only way to shoot a rifle is in a certified shooting club or in a certified hunting day.Not to brag (much), but I can shoot to over 1000 yards from my back porch. Though, accessing your targets is a bit of a challenge. A small river to cross, to set-up and check your targets. To have relatively flat terrain, and no river crossings.....will require a drive of a mile or two! memtb

There are a lot of wind turbines being installed in Texas and Oklahoma (my home state). I think the blades are made in Texas. We both would like to live in U.S. but our favourite states are: Texas, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Loussiana,,, But not in California! no firearms there!
But all your country is beautiful so I have not problems, would be a dream also California.
And answering your question, we are mechanical engineers. We work in Wind Energy industry, I work in VESTAS and Praire Dog is design engineer, he designs machines to our industry
You are very welcome here! Contact us if you come again and yes, food here is really goodI love Spain! I've been to Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, San Sebastian, Valencia, Leon, and Toledo. Beautiful country, rich history, and probably the best food I've ever had. Glad to see some shooters there. I can't wait to go back.
No problems with the weather. We are from Galicia, a spanish region and here the weather is crazy. Shy is gry and during the same day you have warn, cold, rain and sun!Maybe another question to ask is - do you like hot temperature or cold temperature? How about humidity ?
