Unless your ripping them out of a CheyTac based 338 either should work fine for you. I say enjoy/shoot them up and order more.

Agreed. The only difference between the Gen1 and Gen2 is their ability to withstand extreme velocities.

I've just got my hands on s pack of 300grs Hybrids, but wonder å if it is gen1 or 2?

I'd be very happy if someone knows and could confirm.

These are the Gen 2 bullets. I don't have the lot number in front of me at which the Gen 2 bullets started but all 338 cal 300 gr made as part number 33106 (Tactical) are Gen 2 bullets.

For anyone else who may be curious, the Berger 338 cal 300 gr Hybrid OTM Tactical (otherwise known as Gen 2) started with lot number 3222.

Our lot numbers are sequential so any number that is the same or larger than 3222 is a lot of Gen 2 bullets.
