I know the processing time has dramatically improved for suppressors but I will still be contacting my representatives to see if the Hearing Protection Act can get revived. Got so close before and it looks like the next two years might be prime for some deregulation of this.
Truly with the processing times and what not now, it truly is just a tax and I don't think one can make the case that they are picking up additional unqualified buyers that the normal 4473 background checks don't get.

As I'm sure most everyone already knows the tax stamp laws are completely unconstitutional. However that will never stop government from trying to arrest more and more control over people. Funny how the 1936 gun control act was challenged by only one person that was shot down right before the supreme Court hearing. Reminds me of all the money missing from the Haitian hurricane disaster back in the 90's with Bill Clinton and all the money disappeared and the day before the Haitian diplomat was to appear before the Senate he had a bar bell crush his throat the night before while working out.
My point to all this is never give up your God given rights!!
If people would have just told the government we will not comply you would still be able to by full auto guns at the gas station. Yeah I know freedom is dam scary, get over it and take control of your future and stop asking the government to save you. They don't care about you ask Hawaii and the Carolina's

All true guys. Turn around times now with the electronic kiosk and gun stores is a week and online checks guys are getting turnaround time so 48 to 72 hours it's getting really good now. But I agree the turnaround time should be no better or worse than the time it takes you to purchase a firearm and have your background check done in the system like any other time. The people against these who think they are all movie quiet regardless of caliber have never actually been to a range and fired them they are not movie quiet even the ones I used the best ones made the ones that aren't even fielded to the civilian population or not movie quiet they are significantly more quiet than one sold the civilian sector but not movie quiet. They are however the best hearing conservation you can get for firearms enthusiasts hunters and it's a great second shot opportunity for hunters given certain circumstances. They are fantastic and helping mitigate recoil on a lot of calibers and just make firearms more pleasant to shoot. To each their own I think there's a place for them I don't use them for everything but sometimes they're great to have.

Crazy part is you can order a suppressed custom muzzleloader and have it shipped to your door because its considered a primitive weapon. We should be at the point where if you order suppressor and go through all the paces pay the tax stamp get approved they should be able to ship it to your door signature on receipt whatever and not have to go to an FFL to do a transfer to you and get it out of jail the popular term that's a pain in the ***

My point would be that you cannot "give up" God given rights but government and other people can violate those rights. No matter what transpires, you always have those rights.

Society is always at the mercy of their elected "leadership", which more often than not are nothing less than corrupt criminals who are the minions of the power monger elite.

I don't expect any relief during the Donald's 2nd administration - he's got way too much on his plate already to rectify in the next four short years, if he lives.

By far the biggest problem with any society is the growth of citizen fools who drink the crazy ideology kool aid. We sure as hell have a gigantic bunch in our country and they will never ever change their idiotic thinking and accept common sense. The only hope is that their ranks never increase and that society will get lots better with their passing.

Gun laws, like all laws, are the duty of the legislative branch. Write your congress critters about reviving the Hearing Protection Act. The only part a president plays in legislation is to sign off on it at the end.

You can have it shipped to your door, my last one was. And I believe that's how silencer central does theirs as well
