Stuck case thanks to Hornady one shot!

I stuck a 338 Lap case with the one shot. Broke the shel holder trying to get it out. Turned into a real mess. I use the unique now.

I've been using one shot for well over 10yrs, never had one stuck case. I spray em down in the loading block and I do get the entire case, I don't wait for it to dry and, I spray the inside of FLdies, and body dies as well, I spray the crap out of the the cases as well, until it runs down the case. I would bet that the stuck case are a result of not enough lube. clean up is simple enough as well, throw the trays in the dish washer:)
 
I agree with quite a few on this, I load several thousand rounds a year, go through about 20 aerosol cans of one shot, as RT2506 said the one shot in the pump spray is crap. If you get a stuck case with one shot, its likely that your die or brass is dirty and the vent holes in the die are stopping up, rcbs lube will stop em up to, but the one shot pump is the worst, you get to much lube and it has nowhere to go. I use one shot as I said, and load 204 through 338 edge with over 30 others in between and get 1 sometimes 2 stuck cases a year. Just keep everything clean.
 
I guess I didn't say what I use for lube. I use rcbs lube in the little 2oz bottle with the little green pad. I use a bottle every three years or so, and about 1/2 of that is lube I scrape off the pad when I'm cleaning the pad. As long as you get the lube where you need it on the bottom half, there is never a stuck case or neck dent. I've only stuck two cases ever and both were forgotten lube.

This is what I am thinking also. The spray was too light and not enough lube actually got on the case . I like a lube that has some body (viscosity ) to it so it keeps the two metal surfaces apart to some degree so one shot leaves me unimpressed.
 
If you read the directions on One Shot you are suppose to spray the inside of the die also.

I've used it if you feel resistance going in STOP and re-lube, I think the biggest issue is depending on the loading block 1/3 to 1/2 the base doesn't get lube.

Never stuck a case yet it works just a matter of preferences.
 
I use One Shot successfully for my 223 And 6mmAR. Just spray the rounds line up on a paper towel in lines of 20 cases, then roll them over to get the other side. Let dry for about 2 minutes and size. Larger, 6.5 x284 and up, it's a disaster with a guaranteed stuck case every time! RCBS with a pad for this work is dead reliable. Haven't found anything better. One shot and others like Imperial do not have enough lubricity for the larger high pressure rounds with my rifles and chambers.
 
I use hornady unique to resize all my calibers 223, 22-250, 243 Win, 257 Roberts, 25-06, 6.5x284, 7mm-08, 308 Win, 300 Rum, and 338 Lapua and i have never had a stuck case and i have sized about 2000 cases so far.

Get to about 100,000 rounds with it and I'll think of switching. I've got 6,000 rounds on the shelf loaded right now between the calibers I own.
I wouldn't dream of a wax or spray from what I've seen from them so far. You need to use a lot, and if you miss one you've just messed up a die. I often intentionally do two rounds lubed, one un-lubed with rcbs lube if the pad is full to keep from getting to much in the die. Don't try that with a wax or spray.
I don't worry about getting the lube off either, I simply toss 'em in the tumbler for an hour or so and they're good as new.

Sometimes when i relize that i have went a little heavy on the wax i will put 1 or 2 cases through the die without lube and like i said i havent had a stuck case yet. That is one complaint i have is having to clean the lube off when done. Well thats what brothers are for!:) on the next round of sizing i will try out the redding lube with the pad and see what i think of it.
 
I have done thousands and thousands with the One Shot------sounds like a very clear case of operator error to me. If you do it correctly then you will never have a issue.
 
Tried it last winter due to negative temp issues in my garage, ("Woohoo earned my stupid badge today" thread in the reading section. I'll dredge it up for ya) apparently at -6* & colder, even a tiny bit of wax builds up quick, dimpeling cases, so I tried the Hornady can, & tore the heads off of 3 cases.....
No freakin way will I ever use Hornady One Shot again. It worked great for about 15-20 cases, then it was nothing but stuck cases, & ruined brass! I lost more $$$ in Weatherby brass last winter than it cost to insulate my garage! I'll just stick with my Reading sizing wax, & make sure my garage is warm enough to use it now. Got a heater, & all the insulation cut, just need to install it in the garage doors, & let the heater run overnight.
But ya, Im not a fan of one shot. Plus it tastes horrible in coffee...:D

I've seen pics of your reading castle, & I'm curious if it comes with a French maid serving pancakes, & one shot case lube? Man that's a sweet setup.
I've only seen pics of one other loading room that even held a candle to your "street of dreams model" & it had rifle racks built into the walls, & a window to shoot out of to somethin like 7-800 yds I think.
You really should get that setup featured in a magazine Broz! That's "gun porn" at its best!
I'm sooooo jealous.
Oh & quit eating pancakes around such nice equipment:D
