Stuck case thanks to Hornady one shot!

Now that's funny.:D I'll file that in my list of stuff not to try:D
I've seen pics of your reading castle, & I'm curious if it comes with a French maid serving pancakes, & one shot case lube? Man that's a sweet setup.
I've only seen pics of one other loading room that even held a candle to your "street of dreams model" & it had rifle racks built into the walls, & a window to shoot out of to somethin like 7-800 yds I think.
You really should get that setup featured in a magazine Broz! That's "gun porn" at its best!
I'm sooooo jealous.
Oh & quit eating pancakes around such nice equipment:D

It took me years to get a room set up like I wanted with the equipment I wanted too.
Today I was called in from the reloading room to have some French Toast. That is as close as I will probably ever get to a french maid..:D

Thanks for the kind words.

Jeff

Jeff i want to see some pics!!

I bought a can of One Shot (dry lube) to replace the near empty one. I barely got the cases back out of the die. I threw it away. I went back to the store and saw "One Shot Case Lube" on a different shelf than the One Shot (dry lube) so I bought a can. I haven't used it yet but take note that there seems to be two different products with the same name.

1. One Shot Case Lube
2. One Shot (which does not specify case lube)

We'll see how it works.

Even worse than that-- they have one shot canned air too. Gotta watch it when you buy that stuff. I'll stay with my pad and bottle of slime I guess. It's been working for nearly 20 years for me so why change.

I started with the lube pad years ago when I didn't know any better and then used Imperial sizig wax for a long time and about a year ago I tried the Hornady One Shot and it is the only lube I will use now. One shot is the greatest thing since sliced cheese. I have not had a single stuck case with it and wonder what you could have done to make one stick. I spray at an angle from the front then turn the tray 180 degrees and spray again, let them sit a minute or two and start sizing and have never had a problem.

Tried one shot; didn't like it getting all over. Even if you shielded the tray it seemed to get all over. Tried dillon spray, worked, but didn't last terribly long. I've been on the rcbs bottle for years and only used up one or two, including wasting some cleaning the pad.

I lay about 5 shells flat on a newspaper, all lined up next to each other and spray them and then roll them 180 degrees and hit the other side. It keeps the mess off the loading trays and the overspray goes on the newspaper. Very clean. Because the mouth of the shell is pointing away from me, none gets into the neck. I've done it the same way with spray RCBS Case Slick and it works fine. The only problem with the rolling pad is that sometimes I get to much on and dimple the shoulder.

Never had any trouble with One Shot. That is all I have used since I have been reloading.

+1 for me...FYI I always polish my die chambers and expander balls with flitz too..couple that with the one shot and its effortless 2 finger operation on my Forster press

Only roll the back 1/2 of the case and you'll never dimple a shoulder.
