This was quite long ago.Just paint kicking around my shop and a leaf off a tree from outside.I did get a sharpie and draw a few elk racks on it 6x6.Never did catch up with bull that made rub.Ol browning 325 wiz bang

I found that Alumahide is almost bomb proof as a clear top coat.

I have a couple of rifles I did about six years ago and they have been hunted hard in multiple states. Not a chip or ding one... and they have taken some tumbles.

Their satin or matte is still just a bit shiny so can be knocked down with steel wool.

Rustoleum has some "camo" paints.
Deep Forest Green (dark green)
Army Green (light green)
Khaki (tan)

The darker tan is Rustoleum Satin Dark Taupe

Then Rustoleum 2X Ultracover Matte Clear

I used Duracoat on a couple of guns and man that stuff has a LOOOONG cure time. Durable and rugged, but a guy needs patience to use it.

My rattle can sponge job. Ok for a first try and definitely better than the plain black it was originally.
